Rocko
25.4. What a huge disappointment. Static Cling is like pastiche of everything I hate about these modern reboots: for example, most of the actual content is filtered clean for the modern pussyhat audience, lacking the real substance. The empty shell of a special episode is filled with clumsy nostalgia baits and fan service from the beginning to the end with very little interesting going on. Even that trans-thing is just there, they don't do anything with it when the original series would have bombarded the viewer with edgy and politically incorrect jokes about the subject matter. They even boasted about working with some political retard think tank to make sure, that the end result is as politically correct as they come, so no good jokes were allowed this time. And they did it themselves, not the big bosses, not this time. That said, I still love the art style and the characters, and seeing Filbert's family was a nice touch, I just wish they had done the same for the Wolfes. The little social satire they did have here was also very on point. Edit. It took me few additional days, but I think I finally understand what Joe Murray is trying to say here. Nickelodeon is a greedy corporation now and they were planning to cash-in with their older properties and people's nostalgia whether or not the original creators approved it. So what Murray did he decided to come back to give his own take on the matter, which means parodying these stupid nostalgia baits, laugh at himself with all this trans-stuff and at the end tell people to carry on with their lives. That's kinda funny...

Rocko
24.4. It took me few months to get through this show and I still have few episodes left, but I still consider this thing watched, if not literally now, then in the very near future. Rocko's Modern Life was originally meant to be an adult oriented show similar to South Park, but the network bosses treated it as a kids' show and thus it was forced to go through super strict censorship measures in order to be shown on TV. That's why the show has a very peculiar sneaky and smart style of comedy where they couldn't say anything straight, but play around with creative wordplay, irony and sarcasm, odd references and many other very smart things. I don't think I have ever in my life been exposed to so much intellectual gay jokes and cheeky references to holocaust, masturbation, voyeurism, prostitution, human anatomy and all sorts of weird perversions as I was while watching to this thing. There's so much creative in-between humor that the experience can be quite heavy compared to most similar shows, that's why it took me so long to watch all the four seasons. Here's some of my favourite jokes: - In one episode Rocko goes to doctor, who diagnoses his eye condition by palpating his eye balls (reference to testicular cancer examination) - There's a fastfood chain called "Choky Chicken" whose mascot is a giant chicken with a metal bar sticking out its ass. In one episode Rocko goes to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower, but it turns out to be a giant American fastfood restaurant with Eiffel Tower sticking out of chicken's ass. "Choky Chicken" is naturally reference to masturbation. God bless Joe Murray and his creative team for being such dirty geniuses. Oh yeah, and there's no uncensored release of this thing. I guess the bosses got fed up with these guys and decided that some of the best episodes and jokes of this show never existed in the first place. [youtube id=TFDH778rfj0]

"I didn't know that last part. The final arc was clearly building up into something big and then suddenly blew up completely, as if the author just wanted get rid of the whole thing as soon as possible"

Popee the Performer
24.4. This animation is insane, truly next level golden garbage. This animation is also Japanese. To sum it up, some animation team made a deal with some businessmen to produce their own little series, but the funding was very lacking and the computers were severely out of date, so they had to get creative with this one. All I can say is that they must have eaten some bad acid when they made this thing. Poopee is like Foodfight with surreal ultra-violence and very off-beat humor, kinda like Happy Tree Friends, but way cheaper. The overall "badness" is part of Poopee's personality by design, but that doesn't mean it's actually any bad per se. They didn't even have budget to hire any actors, so it's also a silent surreal violent animated comedy something.

Vampire Economy: Doing Business Under Fascism
16.4. One thing I really hate about history books is the fact that the authors usually don't know a rats ass about economy and simply won't talk about the subject matter or just write whatever bullshit they believe to be true. This fine little book is something truly different: a history book about the economics of the corrupted nationwide military industrial complex that was Nazi Germany, very on point and no philosophy or pedantic theories. What a great read.

Carmageddon II: Carpocalypse Now
21.4. Good old Carmageddon. The real fun starts when you beat the game and get access to all the cars and stages. The humor is so stupid it's actually great, like they're advertising some sport drink called "Urine" and beauty product called "Fiasco". That's just amazingly mean and dumb, I love it.
