Lame. You thought the production of Robocop 2 was a mess, right? This one uses whatever leftover scraps they had from that film, cut the budget and left everything for Fred Dekker to figure out. For some reason they decided to take off the adult stuff and make this one for families. Robocop for kids? What a silly idea - and very boring.
But that's only the beginning. They produced massive amounts of licensed games of Robocop 3, which were bigger hit than the film itself and ended up completely spoiling it. When the film was released overseas, people in America pirated it like crazy. What the heck were they even thinking? This is hilariously incompetent and stupid.

There is some huge irony in a fact that these films were almost routinely sabotaged by corporate meddling. Originally Robocop 2 was written by Frank Miller, but the story was butchered and later released as a comic book, it's great. What's left isn't half bad, but could be better. I believe Irving Kershner was a perfect choice to direct the film, he saved whatever he could within the time and budget constraints.

When it comes to cognitive psychology, this is the book you need. It took me weeks to read through this, but it's worth it. This is packed with information, zero bullshit. I think the latest version is over 600+ pages, so the thing has only gotten more dense and lengthy with time.

The story behind the troubled production is way more interesting than the actual film. Robocop remake was originally planned as a Darren Aronofsky film, but the plans were scrapped. Later another great director showed interest in producing the film but as the budget soared, the studio started meddling with the film. At the end of the day Robocop was made into a family friendly action film with little to no heart or soul. There was even a scandal when it was revealed that the director hated the film and had stated to a friend that 9/10 out of all of his ideas were scrapped by the corporate overlords and his good name was basically stamped into this travesty just for marketing purposes.

I don't get the popularity of this film. There's maybe couple of good jokes and lots of forgettable and mediocre slop. I don't get Mike Myers either, nearly all of his characters look and sound the same.

Well, fuck me for liking this. Nothing gets me more irritated than something average and boring that doesn't stir up any emotions out of me, like for example lame modern comic books that lack any real personality and style. In that sense Beastars didn't disappoint me the least, it's anything but boring manga. It's more like Zootopia fan fiction with some strange creative choices, but I like it.
Legoshi is very sympathetic character and his struggle to overcome his forbidden attraction at a bunny and the negative societal stigmas make a great story. There are some loose ends, funny ideas and things that don't make much sense, but as long as it meets my most important criteria, it's good. I actually wanted to read this to see where it all goes at the end. People told me it's terrible, but I thought it was great.

Technically speaking this isn't the same book I read, but it was a legit collection of Krazy Kat comics. There's so wide variety of these that it doesn't make sense to have every single volume added here.
