There is this stupid stereotype, that all WW2 Germans worshipped Hitler and happily committed all kinds of war crimes and genocide without ever questioning their orders. Heinz Guderian outright refused to follow the criminal orders, at the end they didn't even bother sending him new ones. In his book Guderian tells how he went face to face with Hitler and fought with him for hours to get some sense into Führer. According to Guderian, Hitler lived in an illusion and absolutely didn't care if thousands or millions of his own soldiers froze to death without any reason. Heinz Guderian wasn't just one of the greatest generals of his time, but also an honest man during an era of chaos and murder. And he stood against the devil himself.

18.12. To be honest, I really fucking loath a lot of people in this world. Especially when they come and cause nuisance and trouble without any reason, not by coming directly at you but abusing some authority like a little pussy. That's what happened to me today, and that's why I need this album, because I would really love to show this "someone" the true meaning of suffering, but since we're living in a civilized society, I'd maybe much rather just listen to this gory metal instead and have fun. Oh yeah, and this is CC's best album.

16.12. Eppu Normaali are one of the best bands ever coming from Finland. Rupisia Riimejä is one their more well known albums, but there are still few filler tracks. Nyt Reppu Jupiset is one of their biggest hits, Pimeyden Tango is one of my favourites. Musicianship here is very good, especially the rich guitar harmonies clearly inspired by Dire Straits. Around this time they started moving from New Wave to more Straits-oriented rock. Nobody plays this kind of classy and smart music anymore.

14.12. I don't remember listening to this one, despite being a huge fan of Ulver at the time of its release. This is closer to art pop than anything black metal.
