9.10. I didn't think this album would be this much fun to listen to. The rhythm parts are amazingly catchy and the production is very on point. I could definitely imagine young Devin Townsend drawing some inspiration from these guys for his SYL stuff and vice versa.

7.10. As a rule of thumb, if you claim the label "progressive metal", you're most likely either a Dream Theater -ripoff or a Tool-copycat. Karnivool is a Tool-ripoff with few additional new tricks here and here.

6.10. If Americans got the traditional thrash metal figured out, the Germans ruled the technical and progressive side of thrash. This is yet another brilliant album in the subgenre.

6.10. What strange magic is this? A Bruce Springsteen record... that doesn't bore me to sleep!? You're absolutely right, this more personal and down to earth folk record actually works as an album.
