Todd McFarlane's life is a huge roller coaster of success and misery. The man's great inspiration was his blue collar dad who did everything he could to support his family despite being constantly stomped and pushed by his bosses. McFarlane began his career writing and drawing Marvel comics and eventually created more creator driven Image Comics company along with few other prodigies of the art form, becoming a huge superstar. After establishing himself he started working with top writers of the world and broadening his business to TV, films and all kinds of merchandise, making him rich and even more famous.
Then the shit hit the fan. Neil Gaiman, a one time Spawn guest writer, wasn't happy with the fees he was paid and sued McFarlane, costing him millions in damages. At the same time Tony Twist sued McFarlane for using his name and forced McFarlane to declare bankruptcy, tarnishing his good reputation in the process. As the comic book sales were going down, it seemed like the game was up for him, but no. Recently he came back for a crowdfunding campaign for his new line of Spawn memorabilia, which ended up being a huge success, helping him launch his career anew. Since then his sales have been going up again and the man has regained his fortune.

Had to play this one again after God knows how many years. Max Payne is still a great game, but there are some technical problems because it's so old. For one thing, I don't think there's any official updated edition available that would run on modern systems and some of the drivers are out of date and switched off on Windows. On Linux and Wine this thing works just fine.

This album is wicked, man. And it's very, VERY rare and obscure, I happened to find it simply by pure luck. This is what Venom would sound like if they could play some actual music: awesome blackened thrash metal with some great production. Whoever handles the band's merchandise these days said they wouldn't be selling anything via Bandcamp anymore, just Ebay as long as they have anything to sell. It's some tax issue, come figure...

Considering this was Fritz Langs's very first film in Hollywood, Fury is actually very spot on crime flick.

Watching this classic again reminded me how innovative and huge it was at the time of its release. Take the use of sound for example, no music was used, but the silence sets the mood and the murderer's presence is made known only by whistling. The camera movements are so subtle and well made you'd think they were common back in the day, but nope. That because the silencing technique at the time was so new and poor they usually couldn't use any cranes or other machinery but stand still, so this was very, VERY cutting edge camera work by the maestro Fritz Arno Wagner, one of the greatest and most influential cinematographers ever.
