This is the kind of indie I like. Not some 60's psychedelic pop rock, but actually something new I haven't head before.

A short and sweet guide to the symbolism and themes of Michel Tournier. Michel Tournier is a French author not many people probably know, but he is well-regarded among academics and literary circles, I would say for a reason.

Not that interesting or well-written stories, but the imagination is really great. According to Ito, many of these stories were inspired by his creative dreams, and it shows.

I thought I needed some introduction to David Foster Wallace before reading any of his own material. This book is not a good one. Wallace didn't have that eventful life to begin with, but with bad writing and editing it could be made sound even less interesting. Wallace was a troubled genius, severely depressed for years and then he died. There's not even a conclusive ending to explain his status as a legendary writer and what he means in a wider cultural context.

DC stories written by Alan Moore, excluding The Swamp Thing. The best stories here are brilliant, but there are few more average here and there. Not a perfect collection, but the Killing Joke and the Man of Tomorrow are a must read and the very least make it worth the investment.
