The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment
16.9. Another quasi-philosophical self help book. I've been reading so much about psychology and controlling your own mind that half baked garbage like this pisses me off.

Castle to Castle
18.9. Classic Celine, this time even more cynical and evil than ever before. At the end of the war Celine was caught up in a German castle with the cream of Vichy France and eventually had to go to exile because of his involvement in some nasty things. The way he sees it, it's all as ugly and brutal as it gets, and everyone's an idiot. Such poetry.

Julius Caesar
Brilliant military leader, statesman and author, Julius Caesar was a man of many trades. He conquered both Gaul and the Republic of Rome and made them his image. Caesar was known for his benevolence towards his enemies, so no wonder when he got assassinated many of his killers were actually his friends. It is said that when many other leaders gained power just for the sake of power, Caesar gained power to accomplish his vision.

The Art of Seduction
15.9. Similar to 48 Laws of Power in style, but there's way too much storytelling to my taste.

Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance
9.9. The same issues with the last one: the obvious point is said straight up and the rest is just boring repetition.

Mindset: The New Psychology of Success
8.9. Another bullshit self help book. This one is all about telling you how getting "growing" instead of "fixed" mindset is where it's at. The problem here is that in order to say this exact thing I just wrote here she decided to write a book were the same thing is said way too vaguely and repeated over and over again until you're finally full of it and throw the book to the nearest garbage bin.

Tools of Titans: The Tactics, Routines, and Habits of Billionaires, Icons, and World-Class Performers
5.9. Just a bunch of big names attached to a book with close to zero value. Utter waste of time and money.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
4.9. An autistic boy seeks to find out who killed his neighbor's dog, but ends up solving his parents' marital problems. This one's a modern youth classic for a reason.
