5.7. This book is like a fever dream where extreme and over the top violence and gore feels just as normal and everyday business as the regular western tropes do. What a great novel.

29.6. Not as bad as they say, but very mediocre. I think the director said in an interview that the story really is inspired by his personal experience of being an immigrant in a foreign country and meeting his wife. Most people aren't familiar with this kind of situation, which is probably why this film isn't doing that well in the box office.
