Choosing Death: The Improbable History of Death Metal & Grindcore
30.8. It's what the title says. Covers all the basic bands and albums, but nothing else really. Interviews were a very nice touch.

Jellystone
22.8. Unexpectedly good. After so many screw ups I had completely forgotten that there actually could be good reboots and remakes, but Jellystone actually did it. The show is more or less a modern love letter to the classic Hanna Barbera cartoons, but it doesn't even try to sell nostalgia or copypaste anything, just doing it's own thing well. The animation is simple but fluid and the voice actors are excellent. Strange how nobody's talking about this thing.

Centaurworld
15.8. This is something of a modern day musical cartoon for "kids", but it's actually for adults but it's also so filled with self-irony that the whole thing doesn't feel honest anymore, but rather extremely superficial and safe. That said, I hated the art style itself. Centaurworld is more or less the same as Adventure Time, made to look like it was drawn by a baby, and that style itself just sucks, it lacks personality and creativity, it's just lazy and talentless crap. Some media outlets made a big deal out of the fact that it mixes two different animation styles, but in reality there's nothing new to this: I remember watching that kind of stuff every weekend back in the 90's when they mocked crappy 80's cartoons and showed off their own muscles. Hell, even Gumball mixed effortlessly dozens of different styles and techniques way more interesting than this, and that was in 2010's. Nobody cares about this show, and I can clearly see why.

15.8. This game is a perfect love letter to both old-school and new-school of hand-drawn animation. It makes me so happy to see someone who actually gets this thing, most people don't and never will. Not only is the animation itself top notch, but all the actors are A-quality and there's lots and lots and LOTS of references to classic 90's and golden era cartoons. Fluffy Fluffy Bun Bun for example is a parody of those cursed 80's cartoon characters and Babs Bunny from Tiny Toons, they even got Tress MacNeille from the latter to voice the character! Everyone's here: Tim Curry, Frank Welker, Jim Cummings, Dom Deluise... everyone except for maybe Billy West, maybe he was busy enough with Ren & Stimpy. Sucks hard that this is just the first half of the actual game and the latter was never released.

The Gospel According to Luke
7.8. Steve Lukather is one of the greatest guitarists ever, but as a person he's not that interesting. Therefore it's no surprise that his biography isn't that interesting either, but the fact that they actually marketed this thing as "the sickest thing ever" is just wrong, since at the end of the day Steve is very nice guy and not a wreck like some glam rockers tend to be.
