A Great Game Ruined by a Disappointing Ending

“I was lucky enough to find this game back when it was still new and hot. Back then I was keen on classics JRPG's and the cover art alone told me this was something really special.

To keep this short, Breath of Fire IV is more or less a very typical late 90's JRPG with leveling up system, r” read more

24.5. Butch Hartman once said that he came up with the idea of this show on the spot when he was asking Nickelodeon executives for a job. A basic story about a boy with fairies might sound very childish, but in fact the whole thing is super cynical and at times more adult than most other shows of the era. The first four or five seasons were great, but after that the corporate weasels started interfering and the show went down to way of the Simpsons, producing endless new reboots and seasons ignoring all the good stuff and getting worse and worse. Butch Hartman once told that the show was canceled at least five times and resurrected four. After the fifth there's been another crappy reboot, so that's that.

Demon Bitch might sound like a funny name for band, but do not be fooled: this album kicks some serious ass. The overall style is more like 83-84's US power metal with some of the best guitarwork of the whole subgenre, there's just endless amounts of tasty licks and riffs that keep on coming and coming. It's all killer, zero filler.

14.5. Sadly misunderstood spoof of the whole genre. The humor is so obvious with this one I can't comprehend some people actually think this was mean't to be taken seriously.

13.5. In the future paradise every problem known to man have been eradicated and the mankind has been degenerated into a bunch of whiny pussies who need special proctection by a police state because every mean looks and words hurt them so much. So, when Wesley Snipes gets loose to terrorize the society as he pleases they need a manly man like Sly Stallone to kick his ass and then some. This film predicted our time so damn well.

8.5. This film feels so satisfying. Michael Douglas is an everyman who simply gets pissed off at everything that's wrong in the world, so he decides to walk home and beat up anyone who tries to stop him. Back in the day political Hollywood flicks still had some balls, so it's anything but a dry and boring snorefest some talentless hipsters are making these days.
