I've owned this game since it was released but never made it through. The reason being that I really hated the game itself, it simply bore and annoyed me to death. For example, the story and the characters are as boring and flat as they come, I hated the voice actors and some of the design choices are just plain terrible. Unlike some of the 16-bit RPG's you still can't save FFXII whenever you want and the save points are very scarce, you might have to run back and forth for hours just to be able to shut the game and get some shuteye. The dungeons are just endless one way tubes with unlimited amounts of one or two basic enemies and building character abilities is just one guessing game with zero depth In other words, it's a bad game.

11.11. I think one should always be willing to learn to understand other people even if you're not into their way of thinking. That's why I gathered some Soviet-era ideological literature and had some fun with it. Good thing this stuff is still stored in local libraries as historical documents. So far I've read this book and a one big collection of essays, speeches and letters, and it's very fascinating. I don't think even people advocating this stuff have ever read all this nonsense. But now I understand the strange logic behind Soviet Union a little more than I did before, and that's just what I wanted. There will be more...

9.11. It just happened that I found an incomplete saved game I had completely forgotten about, so had to play this thing through once more. Still one of the best games ever made.

8.11. This game just didn't do it for me. It's Metroidvania alright, but most of the game is just repetitious dungeon exploring with very little interesting going on. From what I've read it's also randomly generated, so that might be the reason why the design feels very lacking.

7.11. Usually I love this kind of stuff but Plympton's film feels so random it gets boring very fast. Sure, it's very rough and does all kinds kinky stuff, but a good enjoyable film needs more than just that.
