5.4. The visual style of this show kicks some ass. As usual with this type of visual treats, the storytelling isn't nearly as good. For one this show lacks any proper intro to get the basics out of the way and let the action roll right from the start. Instead the thing opens gradually as you watch it. That's pretty boring.

2.4. One of the last great classics of old Hammer. It's not campy at all, but gruesome and stylish, the story combines the original novel with Jack the Ripper and other similar serial killer cases.

29.3. After watching some good old horror it's pretty easy to see all the influence Disney took from the genre and of course German Expressionism. Snow White is almost pure horror romanticism with evil witch that actually was inspired by Nosferatu, dark castles, skeletons, rats... Here's a funny way to watch this film: first check out Sunrise by Murnau and note all the tropes that film introduced to American cinema, then check this out and take a drink every time you find some of them. That stuff is written all over this film.
