Hell yeah, this sounds filthy and dangerous. I love it. From what I've read, they barely had time or budget to handle all the post-production stuff, so that's why it sounds so raw and in your face. At the same time they tried to write more anthemic songs, so there's best of the both worlds. This album is a definite proto-punk masterpiece.

Bleak and hopeless shoegaze with influence drawn from experimental black metal. What separates this band from many other similar contenders is the authenticity: this doesn't feel phony or superficial at all. I love and respect genuine creativity.

Adam and the Ants was a cheerfully insane and creative band. Out of all of their albums I think this is the most enjoyable and consistent quality wise. Also, White Sox is their most extreme output, they're not taking any prisoners here. The songs aren't necessarily that memorable or catchy, but the massive lovable personality makes up for it.
