I am terribly sorry, I didn't like this film at all. The art looks like a crappy ps2 game, the plot is full of cliches and the so called "personality" is very superficial when you really think about it. Even the hairstyles are more "gen Z" cliche than anything else. Then there's all the distracting in your face politically correct stuff, they didn't hold anything back and it's neither smart nor subtle. I don't want to watch stuff like this

Rasputin was a mystical charismatic figure from the early 20th century Russia. He had a reputation as a deviant and a drunkard, but as far as I'm aware, it's not really sure how much of his bad reputation is just gossip and attempt at character assassination. He was hated and envied by many, at the end he was shot multiple times by local aristocrats.
It's the mysticism surrounding his life and persona I find highly intriguing and inspiring. Maybe he was just a genuine religious man with a bad habit of drinking too much and seducing young women. You have to remember it's Russia we're talking about, not puritan America, so the local everyday culture is somewhat different.

Hard boiled ex-cop gets an imaginary friend who helps him to catch a predator. The very first page involves someone vomiting while being pissed on, so you know it's not supposed to be that serious.

I didn't eve know this book existed until today. It's just the kind of heavy dose of Existentialism I needed right now, I just read Dostoyevsky and Nietzsche and some others, so this takes off just where those ones ended.

The best Shrek film. They took massive risks here and it paid off, like they immediately move somewhere else, introduce whole new characters and even change the old for the most part. Then there's a reference to OJ Simpson and other genius jokes you probably didn't get the first time.

One of the greatest and most meaningful Soviet films of the 70's. It's another story of art and an artist in the midst of all controlling political system. Freedom of expression, human creativity and state controlled art were serious issues back in the Soviet Union, there were lots of persecuted underground artists who didn't submit to the system and paid the price.
This film was banned for a decade for addressing some serious issues deemed highly dangerous and taboo for the time.

I can't tell you any big story about his career, but I think Patrick Bet-David is one of the best and most inspiring podcasters and interviewers out there right now. In his podcast they actually talk about some real issues and you constantly learn something new. Aside from just interviewing people he also releases a lot of informative videos about various less talked about subject matters. A day of Bet-David must be more than 40 hours long judging by the amount of content he's able to put out every day.
I also love Joe Rogan, but I think content wise Bet-David is more high quality and high quantity than him. And that's just crazy when you think about it.
